The Admissions Process
TFC accepts applications, accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of $50, from October to January for the following September. Please contact us to request an application or click above to download.
Tours are typically conducted mornings from 9-9:30am between October and the end of January. After sending in your application, please email to schedule a tour with the Director. During the visit, families will be able to tour the school, observe in classrooms, learn about the curriculum and parent involvement, and meet with the Director to ask any questions.
Decision letters and contracts are sent out in mid-March. A signed contract, accompanied by a deposit, ensures a child's placement for the fall. When the number of applicants exceeds the number of spaces, wait-list notifications will be sent, and families will be called from the wait-list as spots become available.
Priority preference is given to BB&N faculty and staff, and then to outside community if spaces are available. The Family Cooperative seeks a balance in age and gender in each of our classrooms and strives to build a community rich in diversity.
