NOW HIRING Seeking Early Childhood Substitute Teachers for the2023-2024 School Year
Early Childhood Substitute Teacher
Relationships are at the root of who are at TFC- relationships among children, between children and adults, amongst adults, and between our school and the larger community around us. The mission of the Family Cooperative is to love and nurture a community of inspired teacher-learners. We are committed to our community as one where each member is welcomed, valued, and celebrated. Our pedagogy is based on the concept of emergent, child-centered curriculum, inspired by the Reggio Emilia early childhood centers. We do so in an unconventional cooperative setting that supports primarily working families and values strong parental involvement. The Family Cooperative has a particular vision of the child as a competent, creative thinker who actively engages in the process of making meaning about the world.
We offer Infant, Toddler and Preschool classrooms, enrolling children between the ages of 8 weeks and 5 years old. Experience working with young children, or a strong desire to gain experience in this age group, is required. We are searching for an educator, or aspiring educator, who is interested in joining our community as a float teacher / sub. The position is part-time, 10-15 hours a week, with additional sub hours when needed.

Preferred but not required – Infant/Toddler or Preschool certified by the Department of Early Education and Care
